What we collect, why we need it, who sees it and how long we keep it. Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who we are
Socially Active is a trading brand of Compelite Pro Ltd, company number 16377147, Unit 53, BizSpace, Equinox South, Great Park Rd, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 4QL.
Compelite Pro Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. ICO registration number: ZB995815.
When you get in touch or book a call: your name, email, phone number, business name and anything you tell us.
When you sign up: your name, business name, email, phone and billing details. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you onboard: information about your business, your logo, brand colours and fonts, the photos you upload, and access to your social media and Google Business Profile accounts through our scheduling tool. We don’t ask for your passwords.
While we work together: our emails and messages, your approvals and amends, and performance figures from your social accounts for your monthly summary.
When you visit this website: basic technical data such as your browser, device and pages visited. See “Cookies” below.
Why we use it
To deliver your plan (performing our contract with you): creating, scheduling and publishing your posts, sending them for approval, billing you and supporting you.
To run our business (our legitimate interests): answering enquiries, keeping records, improving our service, and occasionally telling business contacts about services we think are relevant. You can opt out of marketing at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us.
To meet our legal obligations: keeping accounting and tax records.
With your consent: non-essential cookies, and using your posts or results as a case study. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Photos and people
If photos you send us show staff, customers or anyone else, please make sure they are happy for those images to be used on social media. We only use your images for your own posts.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with suppliers who help us run the service, under contracts that require them to protect it:
HighLevel (our CRM, website, forms, upload pages and emails), Stripe (card payments), Google Workspace (email and files), Rella (scheduling, approvals and publishing), Canva (designing your posts) and Cloudflare (website delivery and security).
AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to help draft captions from your onboarding answers. A person on our team edits, designs and checks every post.
The social platforms themselves (Meta, LinkedIn and Google) when we publish your posts.
Our accountants, and anyone we are legally required to share information with.
Data outside the UK
Some of these suppliers store data in the USA or the EU. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK’s approved international data transfer agreements.
How long we keep it
Clients: for as long as you are with us, then 6 years after you leave, because of tax and accounting rules. Your photos and brand files are deleted within 3 months of you leaving, unless you ask us to keep them for a return.
Enquiries that don’t become clients: up to 2 years from our last contact.
Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only enough to make sure we don’t contact you again.
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as remembering what you entered in a sign-up form.
If we use analytics or advertising cookies (for example Google Analytics or the Meta pixel), we will only set them if you agree through the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to transfer it to you or someone else.
Email [email protected]. We reply within one month and there is no charge.
